Senior Graphic Designer in Costa Rica

For more than four years, I worked as an in-house graphic designer for Los Sueños Resort & Marina, one of Costa Rica’s leading luxury resort and real estate destinations. Following the pandemic, I continued collaborating with the company as a freelance designer.

When I joined the team, the resort’s visual communication lacked consistency and needed a more professional identity to support large-scale advertising and international marketing campaigns. My work began with a logo redesign that preserved the essence of the original brand while introducing the distinctive rectangular blue version that remains in use today.

From there, I helped build a cohesive visual identity across the resort. I developed the art direction for new photography, designed billboard campaigns and created the advertising displayed for several years at San José International Airport. I also produced video advertising for airline screens on flights between the United States and Costa Rica.

My role extended throughout the guest experience, including resort signage and environmental graphics, corporate stationery, marketing collateral and print production. I also created menus, promotional materials and branded communications for five restaurants, each with its own identity and audience.

For the resort’s international presence, I designed and supervised advertisements for travel and lifestyle magazines. I also produced several editions of Lifestyle magazine, an editorial design project used both to promote the resort and as a real estate marketing and sales tool.

This long-term collaboration brought together hospitality branding, creative direction, corporate identity, logo design, advertising campaigns, editorial design, restaurant menu design, signage, print management, video production and luxury real estate marketing.
